Limited Warranty Against Defect

Bonart Co. Ltd stands behind their products, and offers competitive warranty protection against all factory defects. Most* Bonart™ units have a 1 year warranty on the unit itself, and a 90 day warranty for accessories. This protection includes replacements for all out-of-box (within one week of shipping receipt) failures, and warranty repairs for all other cases that fail within their warranty period.

*Please check the product page on the Bonart™ website for the product in question to determine the exact warranty available. Regional restrictions and variations may apply.

What is a “Factory Defect”? A factory defect is any unusual or unfortunate failure of a part due to a bad component within the supply chain. All assembly lines experience the odd occurrence of these “defects”, and they are unavoidable over a long-enough timeline. A “Factory Defect” is NOT a problem with how the unit is designed or how it is used. A component that fails within the first year is only a “defect” if it failed under normal use circumstances, in an environment and situation where it shouldn’t have failed. This does not include poor use, misuse, over-use, after-sale tampering, or other scenarios outside of the scope of factory assembly. All warranty repairs and out-of-box failure replacements must be confirmed by Magpie Tech Corp. prior to return shipping to guarantee warranty replacement. A Return Authorization (RA) number will be assigned and is required for warranty service.

Any unit that fails within the first week of delivery that has not been damaged, neglected, tampered-with or improperly installed by the customer. This only pertains to dental scaling machines and does not include accessories, ultrasonic inserts, or piezoelectric tips.

Any unit that has been damaged, neglected, tampered-with or improperly installed by the customer, or has lapsed the first week of delivery to the customer. This includes anything that cannot reasonably be considered a factory defect (see definition above).

Any unit that fails within the first year under normal use circumstances.

  • Any unit that fails within the first year due to damage, neglect, tampering, improper installation, misuse, overuse, or any other avoidable user error.
  • Any unit that is not functioning due to an accessory that has failed that is not covered under warranty (such as scaling inserts. Scaling inserts wear down over time, naturally, and have a warranty period of 90 days. Inserts should be disposed of every 4-6 months).
  • Any unit older than 1 year.
